    Ancient Greece had many effects on civilization but their most important was the idea of democracy. Consent of the government came from their view that all citizens would have the right to vote or bring up issues.

    This Empire had been once ruled by kings but soon later ruled by the people. They gave an idea of Representative Government which the led the vote for the people to elect. Though it was much different it still related to it.

    Thomas Paine an English writer who influenced many people with his ''Common Sense". He would then inspire many during the Revolutionary war and help create the path to the Declaration of Independence.
