Met in philidelphia, By the time the Second Continental Congress met the American Revolutionary War had already started. They talked about managing the war effort and moving further towards independence by writing the Declaration of Independence.

Adopted the Decleration stating that they were their own independent country. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"

The articles were aproved but not ratified. they established a firm league of friendship amoung the states. each state kept its sovereignty, freedom, independence, and every power, Jurisdiction and right.
