This a press conference before the Featherweight Championship fight between Conor McGregor and Chad Mendes. It included both of them talking about the fight and insulting each other. Conor had to challenge Mendes, the Featherweight Champion, to get this fight to happen. Conor also talks about representing his country of Ireland("Scrawny"). I can infer that Conor takes pride in his country. Before he even initiated anything with Mendes he talked about how he was proud to be representing Ireland.

Also this demonstrates McGregor's cocky nature. He was almost 100 percent positive that he was going to win the fight as he said he was going to "kill" Mendes. It doesn't only show that he is cocky though, it also shows his will to win and be the best as he had the confidence and resilience to challenge the Featherweight Champion to a fight. Not everyone would have the confidence and pride is one's self to challenge the Champion to a fight and call him a twerp at the press conference.

Interview with Kenny Mayne from ESPN http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2641695-conor-mcgregors-top-quotes-from-espns-sunday-conversation
Conor Mcgregor talks about the UFC in this interview with Kenny Mayne from ESPN. He talks about the intense time commitment just going to press conferences and media events for UFC and he'd rather spend that time training for the fights than talking about them at press conferences and talk shows. He also says that he made $400 million from his fight with Nate Diaz and all the media events, press conferences, and talk shows he had to go to. He also threatened retirement from the UFC(McGregor).
  • Interview with Kenny Mayne from ESPN

I can infer many things about Conor McGregor's character from this interview. Conor has a major commitment and passion for this sport. I can see that the money doesn't mean anything to him without his love for the sport. He knows that if he wants to be the best he has to have the time to put in the work and he is not given this time anymore. Also I can infer that he is a clever man. He blackmailed the UFC by threatening retirement, so they would give him more training time.

This was a very clever tactic to use to get what he wants and what is fair.

This picture is of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather at a press conference before their upcoming fight in August. Conor is at conflict with Floyd in this photo as he is pointing and yelling insults at him. Conor is dressed up fancy in a suit, but Floyd is wearing a sweatshirt.

Floyd also had a much larger entourage than Conor(Harry How/Getty Images). I can infer from this photo that Conor is a very confrontational person and he won't back down from anyone. This shows that he values being the best at what he does. He thinks that without this mentality he can't be the best. Being the best is his biggest career goal. Dana White is also smirking in the photo and he holds Conor back. This shows that Conor's insults are rather humorous and he is a good trash talker.
