    The Typewriter
    The Typewriter may not be used very much in todays society, but it was a huge part of the 19th Century. The concept of the typewriter was first created by an Englishman, Henry Mill, in 1714. He was not successful in making his creation a reality. He had help from an Itallian, Pellegrino Turri.   • The Telegraph

     The Telegraph
    The Telegraph was invented in 1831 by Joseph Henry. With his invention Joseph Henry revolutionized the concept of long-distance communication. The Telegraph works by creation electrical signals and transmiting them over a wire connecting the two stations. Later the next year, Samuel Morse created morse code.     The first telephone ever created was created in 1876 by Alexander Grahm Bell. In 1877-78 The first swichboard was created for the telephone.     On June 14, 1951 the first comuter named the UNIVAC was created by Presper Eckert. This is the first commercially produced electronic digital computer.     In October 1972, Kahn organized a large, very successful demonstration of the ARPANET at the International Computer Communication Conference. This was the first public demonstration of this new network technology to the public. It was also in 1972 that the initial "hot" application, electronic mail, was introduced.     Skype headquartered in Luxembourg began in 2003, and was founded by Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis. Skype is an online communciation tool that you can use to talk to anyone anywhere in the world. You can use it as an instant messaging service, a telephone, and video calls.
