    Writing
Writing was invented in Iraq in 3,300 B.C. Writing is still very important almost 5,000 years later. Truly, the only thing to outlast the bible. Smoke signals

    Smoke signals
Sometime around the year 1,800 B.C. The Greeks invented smoke signals that could be seen nearly 800 KMs away. This could be useful for a number of things, such as recon, distress beacons, and long distance conversations. The military now uses colored smoke for different situations, including red, green, purple, and many more colors. This allows the military to react quickly and effectively.
