Coming to America

  • Leaving for America

    Emily O'Sullivan packs her book, silver, china plates, diary, and clothing. She walks out of her house, and starts her adventure to America, from Irereland. She ls leaving because she wants freedom and land. Alos, no one treatsh as an equal, and she does not have freedom in Ireland. She knows some other farmers from Ireland, but that is it.
  • No transporataion

    Emily was supposed to meet a man in her town who drive her to the ship, but he never showed up. The ship was leaving tommorow, so Emily stole a horse from a nearby barn, and rode it to the ship.
  • Getting to the Ship

    The trip took longer than I thought it would on horse, so Emily got to the the ships a day late. She snuck onto another ship, and the ship started towards America.
  • Finally Here

    Emily finally arrives to America, she gets off the ship and starts to walk around, looking for a job, land, or a place to stay.
  • Jobs

    Still could not find a job because she was Irish. The reason she came was for freedom, but she didn't feel very free. Some workers said that there was an immigration law she was violating, but she did not understand, making finding a job even more confusing.
  • Found Land

    Found hidden land, clamied it. Emily now has her own land.
  • Race

    Went to a race nearby that was for land, EMily could finally own land, somwhere to live, make money, etc.
  • New Life

    Emily begins her new life, with her own land, in America.
