Colombia expressed interest in gaining access to the Korean market for dairy products, beef, pork, poultry products, flowers, fruits, vegetables, confectionery, chocolate, juices and snuff, lobsters and prawns, tuna, clothing and cosmetics, among others, while Korea was interested in Colombia preferential access for polymers, plastics, automobiles, auto parts and appliances.

    Market Access in Goods and Rules of Origin. Items were discussed that seek to ensure national treatment, the gradual elimination of tariffs and elimination of non-tariff measures. It also sought agreements pending the origin requirements.

    After two years and a half, Colombia and Korea finished negotiating a Free Trade Agreement, which will help generate prosperity and jobs for Colombians, via the increase in exports and increase Korean investment in Colombia in sectors with high technology.
