Truman, and Prime Minister Winston Churchill of Great Britain attended the conference. They discussed plans with an ongoing conflict with Japan and issues relating to postwar Europe. After the conference ended the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima in Japan on August 9, 1945.
