It took about three decades until the wall was finally torn down.
A new government took control when Erich Honecker (East Germanys head of state) had to resign. The new governement decided to prepare a new law to life the travel restrictionsf or East Germany citizens.
Thousands of East Berliners went to the border crossing and people were demanding to have the border open. It was finally opened. -
