John D. Rockefeller donated the land that today is Rockefeller Park. This park houses Cleveland's Cultural Gardens. The gardens were created during a period of widespread xenaphobia in the early 1900s.

The official groundbreaking takes place at Terminal Tower. It includes mall stores, a large 11-screen cinema theater, and food court. The tower also became the main downtown hub for the rapid transit line.
