    The ancient Greek democracy was a government system that allowed the voice of the people, it was the first of its kind in allowing the people to elect a representative of their choices and what they desire. it fueled classical liberalism as people had rights, they could rise through society, they had their own property and most of all their own rights.

    The Magna Carta was a document containing a charter of rights and freedoms for rebel barons and was agreed to by King John of England, it gave certain rights to the barons and allowed them certain freedoms as well. This contributed to classical liberalism because it was an example of individuals having some rights over the crown which was very impactful during its time.

    The Renaissance was a time period in European history where the ideas of the individual came to life, it was the transition from the middle ages to modernity, it was a large influence to liberalism because it allowed individuals to truly express their ideas through arts, language, philosophy, science, and architecture.

    Haudenosaunee Confederacy

    The Haudenosaunee Confederacy or better known as the Iroquois was an alliance between six tribes, a territory involving the alliance and cooperation of these six tribes showed people that you can live together with individual beliefs, a common interest is what fueled their liberalism.

    The Reformation was a challenge to western Christianity, it fueled liberalism because many people did not believe in the roman catholic church, they created challenges and reforms to end certain policies of the faith. It allowed for more individuality and less control of the church and government on an individual's beliefs.

    The industrial revolution was the change and adaptation of machines that replaced human labor throughout modernized Europe, it paved the way for unprecedented population growth, it allowed for many things to be changed in Europe. This event helped liberalism because of the prosperity it brought the individual, there was so much economic growth during this period that many people became wealthy allowing them to do many things.     Also known as the age of reason, the enlightenment was a philosophical movement that took place initially in Europe. It was an influence to liberalism because it allowed individuals to express themselves in their own way, it opened the way for many philosophers to influence the rise of liberalism as well.

    The American revolution was a revolt from the citizens of the original thirteen colonies with the goal of separating from Great Britain, this was a major influencer of classical liberalism because of the separation from Great Britain, it allowed for the independence of the American citizens and allowed them rights separate from the crowns intentions.
  • French Revolution

    The French Revolution was a revolt that took place in France and its colonies as a result of the poor ruling and choices of the crown, the leader of the revolt, Napoleon, created a regime of freedom among the people with the Declaration of the rights of man, it created influence around Europe showing people what individual rights allow for the people, reduced taxes, economic gains and a rise out of the starving country of France
