Amendment passed by President Abraham Lincoln that abolished slavery. This is significant because it freed slaves and showed everyone the government was ready to take a step in the right direction -
14th Amendment-African American Movement
Rights of citizenship, due process of law, and equal protection of the law. The 14th amendment has become one of the most used amendments in court to date regarding the equal protection clause. -
