After the case of Brown vs board of education, African American parents wanted their kids to get the same education as white kids. The Little Rock 9 were the first to get into a segregated school (after a long struggle involving high authority).

These brave people rode the bus over segregated southern lines in order to challenge segregated bus lines. Though their efforts were met with violence, their message was made none the less.
