    What happened was the Supreme Court had ruled that separating childrens in public schools on the basis of race was unconstitutional. At Brown vs. Board of Education colored kids weren't treated as fair as the white kids. It wasn't equal rights like white had a bus but colored kids had to walk.That why it was important to the civil rights movements because they wanted EQUAl rights.

    Emmett Till Murder
    What happened-Emmett Till was a 14-year-old Black teenager from Chicago who was accused of harassing a local white woman. And later two white men kidnapped Til, beat him,and brutally murdered Till, then dumped his body in the Tallahatchie River. Why is it important to the civil rights movement? It was a racist attack that shocked the nation and provided a catalyst for the emerging civil rights movement.

    What happened-Rosa Park is an African American woman who got on a bus and a guy wanted her seat. She refused to give it up because she felt like she didn't have to so she didn't move and so she got arrested for disobeying an Alabama law requiring black passengers to relinquish seats to white passengers when the bus was full. Why it's important to civil rights movement because she refused to give her seat up an white passenger and made an even greater impact in her work

    what happened- There were nine African American students who attended Little Rock Central High School Arkansas. It was a test of Brown v. Board of Education, a landmark 1954 Supreme Court ruling that declared segregation in public schools unconstitutional. It's important to the civil rights movement because they were the first African American students to desegregate Little Rock Central High School.

    What happened-There were four African-American University students who sat at a white-only lunch counter inside Greensboro and they began a protest against a segregated lunch counter in Greensboro. -It's important to do civil rights because Equal rights and it shows blacks can change to getting treated fair and the sit-in movement produced a new sense of pride and power for African Americans.

    What happened- There were a group of freedom riders whose goal was to end segregation on buses and public accommodations. It's important to the civil rights movement because the riders went through a lot of things like singing songs, making signs, refusing to move even though facing arrest, and other things just to ban segregation in public facilities in all parts of the United States.

    What happened-Martin was arrested because he and others were protesting the treatment of blacks in Birmingham, Alabama. Letter said” Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” It's important to civil rights movements because his letter served as a tangible, reproducible account of the long road to freedom in a movement.

    What happened-There were over 200,000 people in Washington because they wanted to end the racials discrimination, freedom and jobs and equality for African Americans. It's important to the civil rights movement because it put an end to segregation, fair wages and economic justice, voting rights, education, and long overdue civil rights protections.

    What happened-There was a A bomb that exploded at the Baptist Church in Birmingham, and it killed four African-American girls during church services. Important to the civil rights movement because it helped build increased support behind the continuing struggle to end segregation.

    What happened-The were three protected marches that were led by john lewis of SNCC and they faced brutal attacks by law enforcement officers beating unarming the marchers with billy clubs and sprayed them with tear gas. Important to the civil rights movements because it is a symbolic civil rights landmark.

    What happened-There was a couple that loved each other but the woman was black and the man was white that got married but it was against the law that they couldn't be with each other because different races the law violated the Fourteenth Amendment. It was important to the civil rights movement because it was a landmark court case in the fight for racial equality in the United States.
