    In which African Americans refused to ride city buses in Alabama. Before the Boycott began a woman named, Rosa Parks, refused to get out of her seat while a white man asked her to get out and later on she got arrested. Its regarded as the first large-scale against segregation.

    It was held on August 18, 1963 in Washington, D.C. More than 200,000 Americans for a huge political rally. Only organized by civil rights and religious groups. The March made a key moment fro Martin Luther Kings 'I Have A Dream" speech.

    It ended segregation in public places and banned employment discrimination of the race. It was first proposed by John F. Kennedy and then later on signed into law by Kennedy's successor. Also, Congress expanded the act bringing equality to African Americans.
