For a time Atlanta had 3 governors after Eugene Talmadge was elected to office and later died, his son said he should be governor but so did the speaker of the house, Melvin Thompson, and Ellis Arnall all claimed to be governors of Georgia.

This was a court case that went to the supreme court of the united states about a depute over segregated schools. In the end, it was decided that having segregated schools was unconstitutional. This was one f the greatest events of the civil rights movement even though many people did not react peacefully to this event.
