 This was by far one of the biggest civil rights protest in history. It was in Washington DC and it ended at the Washington Monument where MLK gave his most famous speech, "I have a dream"

 Some 600 people planned to march from Selma to Montgomery. The main purpose for this was to register many black voters. They were met by the police force however, and the violence that ensued is historically known as "Bloody Sunday"
