    Sparked by the arrest of Rosa Parks, this boycott was African Americans staying off the buses. This is the result of segregation on the bus. And about a year later, it is ruled unconstitutional to segregate on buses.

    Rosa Parks was arrested because she wouldnt give her bus seat to a white person. This sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott which eventually ending in the Supreme Court ruling that segregation on the bus is unconstitutional.

    When the 1st 9 African Americans are going into the segregated white schools for the first time iin Little Rock, Arkansas. This showed how much these African American kids had to go through just to get an education.

    This Amendment banned states from taxing citizens to vote. None of the southern states can no tax the African Americans to vote. This is another major step towards the African Americans gaining their civil rights.

    This Act banned discrimination in employment and in public accommodations. This allowed blacks to get jobs now because it is illegal to discriminate by being African American. They can drink from the same water fountain as a white person.

    This Act gave African Americans the right to vote, breaking down all the barriers, laws, and restrictions that did not allow them to previously.
