    The Japanese bomb pearl harbor in Hawaii and attack countries all around the world, including Singapore. The change of such act was that the Japanese declare war against Singapore and kill hundreds of thousands while trying to take over and rule.

    The war begins in Singapore when the Japanese attacks and kills thousands of people. The battle of the land begins and Singapore gets bombed. Some Japanese attack Singapore on bicycles as a distraction whilst other Japanese come up on Singpaore from behind.

    On this date the Japanese have Singapore practically fully under control and then by definition have the British under control as well. The Japs ask the british to give up Singapore and hand it over to them but the British refuse.

    On this date the Japanese cross the borders of Jahor and land on Singapore island. This creates change because what happens once the Japanese are on Singapore is unforgettable because of their pain they caused the people of Singapore.

    On this date the Japanese charge on Bukit Timah hill and fight fiercely with the Singaporeans camping there. This changed the war because once the Japs had control over the Bukit Timah hill it was a great vantage point for them. The best on the island.

    On this day, Japan had taken over most of the island and about 90% of the population was crammed into the city with guards watching everyone's every move. This changed the battle because now Japan was fully in control and nobody could defy them without getting killed.

    On this date the british in Singapore give in and surrender to the Japanese because of a lack of food, water, petrol, and ammunition. This changes Singapore because once the Japanese are in charge of Singapore the people living in SIngapore are massacred and murdered.

    The peak point of Japanese's control where the Japs rename SIngapore to Syonan-to whch translates to "the Light of The South". That made a big change/impact to Singapore because they were under a different power and the Singaporeans had no control and they felt bullied, because they were.

    During this year Japan had control of Singapore and nothing big happened only that there was a lot of despair and death by the cause of torture and massacre. So nothing big happened during this year that was worth noting.

    On this date, Operation Jaywick occurs. This is when Singaporean navy persons secretly go out and quickly and quietly place bombes on board the ships. After the persons are a safe distance they blow up the ships and float away safely. However, since the British didn't return from World War 2 right away there was a lot of looting and anomie but when they got back there was peace of harmony.

    On this day, the Japanese give up Singapore and the British are under power of Singapore again. This changes everything because finally SIngapore has there country back and everyone is safe from the overpowered force of the Japanese army.

    On this day, the British return from World War 2 and begin a military administration of the Straits Settlements.
  • Straits Settlements is Over

    Straits Settlements is Over
    On this date, the military stops the straights settlements and Singapore becomes a crown colony. That means that the British colony in SIngapore whose legislature and administration was controlled by the Crown, represented by a governor.
