The creation of the camino
The Chevrolet el comino was created on October 16, 1958. It was a car-truck type and had wings on it and was pretty safe not a lot of accidents occurred from this vehicle. -
The chevy el comino gets an upgrade
After stopping production of the el comino for 4 years chevy decided to produce another generation. There was not a lot of changes to it the generation before this one was already pretty safe. So all that happen was the wings were removed making the care lighter and people were given the option of a better engine. Other than that not a lot of changes were made. -
The third gen
After three years of the second gen a new comino was created. This version was made lighter and added a new engine in the big block V8 which was discontinued in 1975. This is also the gen where this car becomes a more of a sporty car than a pickup. But other than that not a lot of changes where made to this car safety wise. -
The new camino
In 1973 chevy decided to make a fourth gen of caminos. In this version they restyled drastically but because they created they previous models so safe they did not have a need to changed a lot. -
The final El Camino
In 1978 the final version of the El Camino was created. They created a sleeker camino with the new V6 engine. Throughout all of the gens no dramatic changes where made to the El Camino this was a very safe car.
