    Civil War Robert E. Lee Surrenders to Ulysses Grant at the Appotamox Court House in Virginia. This officially ends the Civil War. This caused John Wilkes to become aggravated because he was a loyal follower of the Confederate states. This occurred one week after the Confederate capital- Richmond, Virginia fell.

  • Washington Celebrates

    All of the union capital, Washington, is in celebration because of the Union Victory. There is a grand and festive atmosphere throughout the entire city. There is also a grand parade that passes in front of the Executive Mansion (White House).
