    Macy's was a revolutionary department store because it waa the first one to promote a woman as an executive. It was also valued for its one price system, which was charging every person the same amount for that one item.

    Thomas Edison was an important because he was the first-rsnk inventor. The telegraph and lightbulb were his most famous inventions.

    Social Darwinism is when in a society the strongest and fittest are believed to flourish, whereas the weak and poor should die. Herbert Spencer came up with this theory, and stuck with it, saying the rich were "naturally adapted to live off the poor", just like in nature.
