    On March 30th in 1968, tens days after Theresa's (Celines mother) 41st birthday Celine was born in Quebec. She was the youngest out of 14 children. In the report on Celine's birth is talks about how she is a direct descendant of French Emperor Charlemagne.
  • Celine's Family Resturant

    After school, Celine would run home everyday so she could get her homewrok done and go to her family resturant. Celine would sit there watching people go up on the stage to sing, Celine dreamed of being up on that stage so her parents finally agreed to let her sing- The audience adored her and she continued to sing for the people in the resturant.
  • Celine's Family

    While Celine grew up her siblings took care of her when her parents couldn't, and when her brother had a show to go to he would take her with him to watch him play in his band. Celine grew up around music since she was a toddler, watching singers at the resturant and watching her own brother perform. When Celine started singing her parents encouraged her to keep doing it. In 1973 Celine sang at her brothers wedding and had recieved many compliments.
  • Celine's Childhood

    Growing up Celine didn't socialize with many other kids, she enjoyed just being around her family. They watched her when her parents couldn't, they played with her outside, they would bring her everywhere they went, her siblings didn't mind much because they loved being around her. Celine grew up in a kind and caring home.
  • Celine Meeting Rene

    After Celine began to sing for people her parents soon realized Celine could go big, her mother sat Celine down one day and they recorded a tape and sent it off to a man named Rene Angelil. When Rene heard the tape he was amazed, and went to see Celine in person. When Celine sang for him in person, he signed her right there on the spot.
  • Celine's Education

    Celine grew up being teased by her classmates about her teeth and nose, but she was also very smart and got her work done. Celine didn't stay in school long, because once she became a singer her grades drop so her parents got her a tutor. Celine couldn't even keep up with that so she dropped out.
  • English Classes

    Celine took 18 months off, and during those 18 months she decided to take English classes at the Berlitz school in Montreal. She took these courses to expand her singing internationally, this way the English speaking could understand her music and she could have a bigger audience. This resulted in more fans, but in her own city they believed she was pushing her heritage aside. Soon after she made a public speech stating that she is Quebecois and always will be.
  • Start of Career

    Not long after Celine was signed by Rene she was going all around the world to sing for people. Celine soon released 2 tear jerking ballads and a Christmas disc, after they were released she was awarded the 'Disque D'Award' In France.
  • Celine's Love Interest

    When Celine was around 21 years old she realized she had feelings for Rene, and those feelings turned into love. Celine wanted to let the world know, but Rene told her not to let anyone know. Rene said it was for her own good, because if the public knew that they had feelings for each other it could hurt her reputation.
  • Karine's Death

    Celine's niece Karine died in 1993 of Cystic Fibrosis, after she passed away Celine felt like a failure. Celine stopped singing for a while, and started to donate money to the research of Cystic Fibrosis. Celine also had 5 concerts and the money that was raised went to the research of Cystic Fibrosis,
  • Awards won in 1994

    In 1994 Celine won the award for Female Vocalist of the year at the Juno awards. Celine also won a few Felix awards and they are: The best Female Artist of the Year, Quebec artist achieving the most success in a language other than French, and Quebec artist achieving the most success outside the province of Quebec.
  • Engagement /Wedding

    Celine and Rene kept their love for each other a secret, until 1994 when they got married. Her wedding took place in the church of Notre Dame in Paris, the cost was thousands of dollars. She payed for the church, dress, bridesmaid dresses, and the reception. On the day of her wedding the church was packed full, because not only was her family there but some of her fans to- along with a line of bodyguards.
  • Honeymoon

    Celine and Rene's honeymoon took place at their home in Florida, because she didn't want to take to much time off of work and neither did he. They believed they didn't need a big honeymoon because they are always together anyway.
  • Titanc

    'My Heart Will Go On' a song performed by Celine Dion was made for the main theme song for the award winning movie Titanic, this song was Celine's biggest hit song in 1998. Even today when you mention Celine Dion almost everyone knows her because of the song she wrote for Titanic. She's written many songs, but 'My Heart Will Go On' is the song that is still heard very often in today's society.
  • Married Life

    Married life for Celine was like a fairy tale, she woke up beside the man she had always loved and she believed she couldn't be happier. They would have small fights but they would never last because they couldn't stay mad at each other. Celine said she had recieved the fairy tale life that she has always dreamed of.
