    Catherine wanted to expand the borders of Russia. She won both wars agaisnt the Ottoman Empire that lasted from 1768-1774 and 1787 to 1792

    Russia, Prussia, and Austria all took a peice of Poland in what was known as the first Partition of Poland

    She took Cremia from the Turks in 1783 and later she took control of the black sea by overpopulating this area.

  • Death of Catherine the Great

    Catherine died of a heart attack and her son Paul III was the next leader.
