    She decides to pull some primary documents about Parliament, explaining "If the students didn't want to talk, they could listen" (p. 62).

    “He didn’t take me seriously so I told him that I wasn’t really asking- I was telling him to come up and read the rest of the document to the class. He looked me in the eye and said “no”. I couldn't believe it. “Pardon?” I said. “No” He repeated” (p. 62).

    Jeffrey explains to Mr. Dubrovsky that he finished all his work and that Miss. Carmelo was picking on him, claiming “She just wants to make me look stupid” (pg.63). Jeffery then explains that Ms. Carmelo asked him to read, even though all the teachers know he is a “lousy reader”. Jeffrey concludes his discussion by saying “I don’t know why she hates me, I’ve never done anything to her” (p. 63).
