John McCrae was born into a military family. Growing up his dad was in the army and had the same position that he later had, Lieutenant Colonal. He was also born in Guelph, Ontario. -

John took a year off of school due to a recouring illness through his life called asthma. Exact date unknown -
South African War
John began to fight in the South African war as known as the Boer war. -

John did reaserch work in the medical Faculity labratories at Montreal General Hospital. -

As World war one began John McCrae fought in this war until he unfortuantly passed away. -
Flanders Feilds
John McrCrae wrote well known poem called flanders feilds after he was traped in a trench in a place called Flanders. He was inspired to write this well known poem after he witnessed what sadly happends to lives at war. -
Death
John McCrae deid of Pneumoinia at the age of 45. He died in
Boulogne-sur-mer France. I think John McCrae is a war hero because of all that he gave up for our freedom. Since he was just 14 years old he started to train for the military, He knew that this is what he wanted to do and he risked his life to achieve his goal. He was a high position in the military which says that he was dedicated to what he was passionate about. John is also a war hero because of all he gave up for canadians.
