  • First year in law school, lost eye sight

  • Learned how to ski

    Bobby Learned how to ski with a guide. His friend offered him to be on the disabled ski team.
  • Sickness

    Bobby got extremly sick at the World Championship. He found out that he had dialysis.
  • Had dialysis routine down

    His sikiing in the morning and his dialysis in the afternoon. For three days a week for three hours.
  • Doner

    Bobby found a matching kidney and pancreas doner. His surgery was successful!
  • Competed in Paralympics

    He competed in the Paralympics in Nagano, Japan. He took 5th place in skiing.
  • Started experiencing symptoms

    Bobby thought that he started experiencing symptoms of acute renal rejection. It was very hard on him because he was hurting alot and didn't know what to do. After that, he found out that he had to go to the doctors again to see what it was. When he asked the doctor what was happening the doctor said that he had an acute renal rejection. Bobyy was sadly right.
  • Back on dialysis

    At that time Bobby's dialysis was teaching him how to understand and deal with a beating kidney disease. Bobby said, "I worked very hard to be compliant- never missed a treatment. If Ihad a change in my labs, I worked with my dietition."
  • Second double transplant

    After his two years on dialysis the doctor gave him very good news. He was geting his second double transplant. Bobby said, "It was like winning the lottery... twice."
  • Started biking

    Started biking
    Bobby stoped skiing at age 40. He competed a Challenged Athletecs Foundation Half Ironman event. It was a 1.2 mile swim, 56- mile bike race, and a 13- mile run. I dont know about you, but that is alot of exersising! But, at that time he was bilnd and had two kidney transplants. He must be very opitmistic. That is when he found out that he loved to bike.
  • Bobby participated in the Nissan XTERRA World Championship Mountain Bike Triathlon

  • Rode a 3,000 mile race

    Bobby completed a 3,000-mile race for Race Across America. He rode for Team Donate Life to raise money for transplant research.

    Bobby spent the summer in Europe. He raced at the Euro Cup Super Enduro.

    Bobby was a geust keynote speaker at the Windham, NY, World Cup MTB event. He raced the World Cup citizens’ course.
