Bob's Two Year Old Adventure
Bob decides to put his shoes on and go pick some blueberries all by himself today without mommy. Erikson's second stage, Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt. Bob finally was confident enough that he figured he would put his own shoes on without his mom's help and go get the blueberries himself. He is testing himself in real life situations to see what he capable of (Doubt). -
Bob makes friends
Bob is now 7 years old and attends the 2nd grade. He is surrounded by other kids and is starting to really love his school friends. He starts caring what they have to say to him. Erikson's fourth stage, competence vs inferiority. Bob's peers may expect a lot from bob. If Bob cannot reach his goals he may feel inferior. -
Bob is growing up
Bob is now 16. He just got his license and he was gifted a sick car. During this time is also changing. He is going through puberty. Erikson's 5th stage, Identity vs role confusion. He starts to acknowledge his identity and try out new things to see where he fits in best in the world. He finds a girl he likes and asks her out because his is comfortable with his sex role. -
Bob grows old
Bob dies at 99 years old. He had become a doctor and cured cancer. Looking back on his life he felt like he had contributed to the world! Erikson's 8th stage, Ego integrity vs despair. He is old and wishes he could do life over(despair), but knows that he contributed to the world (ego) so he's okay.
