  • 1954 _Brown V Board of Education

    • The case of Brown V Board of Education declared segregation in public schools unconstitutional. It ruled that the racial segregation of children in public schools violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
    • While this case had a major impact on African Americans it also helped improve the educational experiences of other ethnic groups including Latinos, and bilingual education.
