    On May 16, 1902 a notice appeared in the Houston Post concerning a divorce suit in the District court between Bertha J. Hoencke and Theodore Hoencke. Since Irene was born in September, 1903, they must have postponed the divorce or there was a reconciliation, but in any event the divorce was most likely earlier than originally thought.

By 1917 she has a different address and he lives at 1215 Welsh St., his father's address. In the 1920 census Peter, Anne & Irene H. are residing on Welch St. She dies in 1922.
