Lily's mother, Deborah, had been killed trying to get stuff from the closet. Her and T-Ray were arguing and Deborah had got out a gun, but she dropped it/got it knocked out of her hands. Lily, she's only 4 right now, and picked up the gun and an explosion came from the gun. Her mother was dead.

On Lily's birthday, her and Rosaleen wen to town, to get Rosaleen to vote. Rosaleen had got in a scuffle with a few white men, and she had to go to jail.

Lily and Rosaleen arrive in Tiburon, go to very old restaurant, find honey jar that has the black madonna on it. Store clerk says where the people live who made that honey that was inside the jar.

Lily and Rosaleen arrived at the Beekeepers house, and they saw a beekeeper working. That Beekeeper is August.

Lily and Rosaleen meet August, June, and May.

Lily doesn't know why, but June resents her.

May was talking and she started humming "Oh Susanna" and she started crying very hard. August sent her to the "Wall".

August shows Lily and Rosaleen where they will be sleeping and August shows Lily where she will be working, with her and Zach. She showed her the Spinner, the wax melter, etc.
