    When born, he was a twin of Setsu Nakamaru and Karou Carr Suzuki, Vancouver Canada, apart from his twin Marcia ( twin sister ) Geraldine & Dawn. Suzuki's maternal and paternal grandparents had immigrated to Canada at the beginning of the 20th century from Hiroshima and Aichi Prefecture.

    When World War ended, the Suzuki family moved to Islington, Learnington. Where he attended Mill Street Elementary school. His interest, even at a young age, environmental Studies, stimulated by his father.

    Then the family had moved to London, Ontario, he attended London Central School, his popularity is attested by the fact he became Student councils President by massive majority.

    David graduated in Biology in 1958, at Amherst College Massachusetts. Then became fascinated in the study of Genetics, completed PH.D in Zoology, University of Chicago, 3 years later.

    He then became Professor in the Genetics Department at University of British Columbia in 1963. Devoted his career as an academic research using fruit flies as the Model.

    David began a television career, teaching people around the world, he started with the children's program, "Suzuki In Science". Early episodes featured information on Genetics, that expanded into a new area of science later on.

    In 1974, he hosted a CBC AM Radio program called "Quirks & Quacks", the show previewed cientists replying to caller's questions.

    From 1975 till the end of the decade, he hosted a weekly TV Program called Science Magazine, that targeted the adult audience. It showed us interviews, science updates and segments, like how some things work.

    Since 1979, David Suzuki has been hosting once again, another show called "The Nature of Things". It previewed on CBC, the show creates awareness about threats faced by the wildlife, enviornment in general and benefits of renewable energy.
