    General Douglas MacArthur troops began their own campaign in the southwest pacific, they invaded the Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. They surrounded and captured the Japanese region.

The president put lieutenant in charge, an aircraft called the hornet, and the next day bombs dropped on Japan for the first time.

    Admiral nimitz had waited for an opportunity to ambush the japanese fleet, he ordered carriers in midway, and launched them around the summer time. 38 aircrafts from the japanese were shot down. The Japanese carriers were caught with their weapons and materials. The japanese overall lost their carriers (4). Later on the japanese were stopped from advancing.

    Was a major war at sea battle, that was an invasion of the phillpines. It was in the southwest of central pacific.

    Mariana islands, They used his island for the base of a new heavy bomber, which used the b-29 superforttress, which could fly farther than any other plane in the world.

    Kamikazes were an important aspect of ww2, they were mainly used in Japanese war, they were Japanese suicide pilots that had a planned attack to crash into its opponent.
