    Bas van Fraassen was a philosopher born in Goes, Netherlands. Still roaming the earth to date, he is noted for contributions to philosophy of science, formal logic, and epistemology.   • Fraassen's 'The Scientific Image' is Published

    In late 1980, Fraassen's book is published. "The Scientific Image" is a book that presents constructive empiricism to logic and the realism of science. It states that the focus of science is about saving the adequacy of studies and theories. He continues to say that even non-qualified theories and studies are accepted due to meeting a goal.   • Fraassen's First Published Book

    "The Empirical Stance" was first published in 2002, and paperbacked in 2004. Throughout the book, Fraassen focuses on more of the empiricism stance in terms of what it could mean to the philosophy of science.
