    The French & Indian war started in 1756-1763. They started this war because both of them wanted to own the Ohio river valley. In the early victories it appeared that the french was winnig the war. In the end the British ultimately won the war. The major effect on the British was that they ended up in debt.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Spain was an agreement after Britians victory over France and Spain during the Seven Year War. The postive out come for the British was that they received Quebec and the Ohio Valley. The effects on the France was that they had give up their possessions by ceding the North American continent, Canada, and all land east of the Mississippi to Great Britian.

    The Proclamation declared by the British crown to end the French and Indain war. The purpose they passed the law was to conciliate the Indains by checking the encroachmant of the settlers on their land and amde every one pay taxes. The colonist didn't this they become very anger.

    These law was named after Charlse Townshend he was the leading figure in the ministry.The purpose of this was to strenghten the power of the British Parliment along with British royals. The items that were taxed were glass,lead,paints,paper,and tea.The colonist responed by boycotting and sometimed with violent protests. They repealed the taxes expect tea.

    The reason The First Continental Cngress was held because the colonist were upset about the Intolerable Acts and taxes. All colonies were represented except Georgia. Only seven people were there. They agreed to was to boycott British goods. They also agreed to meet Great Britian if they they didn't change their policies. Some of the key people were Geoge Washington, Richard Henry Lee, Patrick Henry, Edmend Pendlenton.
