  • US demanding unconditional surrender of Japan

    Truman issued a warning to Japan of "prompt and utter destruction"

  • Hiroshima is bombed

    11 days after Truman issued the warning, after no reply 'Little boy' was dropped on Hiroshima at 8:15 on August 6th, 1945.

  • Nagasaki Bombing

    3 days later, another bomb named 'Fat man' was dropped on Nagasaki.

  • Japan surrender and WW2 ends
