1941- Attack on Pearl Harbor
The Attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory, on the morning of December 7, 1941. The attack, also known as the Battle of Pearl Harbor, led to the United States' formal entry into World War II. The Japanese military leadership referred to the attack as the Hawaii Operation and Operation AI, and as Operation Z during its planning. -
December 8th of 1941- Declaration of War
The President Roosevelt asked the Congress to declare the war to Japan. Shortly after noon, President Roosevelt delivered his famous "Day of Infamy" speech just before 12:30 p.m. During his speech, FDR called for "absolute victory" in the face of “the unprovoked and dastardly attack” and asked Congress for a declaration of war against Japan. The Senate voted 82-0 immediately after the speech to approve the declaration and the House followed suit shortly thereafter on a 388-1 vote -

1942- Japanese Bombard, Occupy Manila
Manila, the capital of the American Filipino territory, is officially under control of the Imperial Japanese military. The Japanese attack on the Philippines began only some days after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, with aerial bombing followed by an invasion force. Much of the initial onslaught focused on Manila, and the capital has been reduced to little more than rubble, with few areas remaining habitable. -
1942-The Doolittle Raid
President Roosevelt and the Army of the United States, made a plan called the ''Doolittle Raid'', which consisted in attack Japan but in a psychologic way, apart from the military one. They wanted the Japanese to feel poor and unsafe. The Doolittle Raid happened on April 18, 1942. It was an air raid by the United States on the Japanese capital Tokyo and other places on the island of Honshu during World War II. -
1942- The battle of Cape Esperance
In the battle of Cape Esperance, United States Navy ships intercepted and defeated a Japanese fleet on their way to get more troops to fight. With this victory, Japan had suffered three big impacts on his army, and all of them from the United States. The war demonstrated again the military superiority of USA in comparison with Japan.
