    This was in the Byzantine time period. It has been painted by by St. Luke. This picture shows jesus in his mothers arms. I recognized it was painted in the byzantine era beacuse it was very religous and the painting is flat and has lots of colors.

    This is the primavera painting by the artist sandro Botticelli. This was painted in the renaissance time period. There are a lot of theories of what the painting means. Most say it’s the birth of Venus. I chose the particular painting because it caught my eye. I immediately knew it was in the renaissance, because of the way it’s painted. It has shadows of light and dark to making it realistic. This was painted in 1477.

    This painting was created during the Baroque time period. It was completed in 1610-1611 by the Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens. Oil paint was used. I could tell it was a Baroque painting by the contrast of the man that is carried and everything around him. I could tell because it was very dramatic too. I chose this painting because of the emotion the man has on his face caught my eye.

The painting shows two peasants breaking rocks, they were working. I chose the painting because it shows how the peasants were working and how it used to be.

You can tell it’s in that time period because of its emotion and dramatic colors. I chose this painting because of its color and how the girl in it shows sadness or maybe she was scared. This was painted in 1888.

The colors caught my eye and i knew it was surrealism bacuse it was abstartc and the truth. The hat that a man wore makes him the man ins society.
