Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger de Saint-Exupéry was born in Lyon, France 1900 to an aristocratic family, whose lineage could be traced back several centuries. He was the third of five children, with three sisters and a younger, blond-haired brother. His father was the Viscount Jean de Saint Exupéry—an insurance executive for the 'Le Soleil' brokerage who suffered a fatal stroke in 1904. His mother, as described by her son, was a beautiful, intelligent, and caring woman.

In 1909, the family moved to the home of Antoine’s paternal grandfather in Le Mans, in central France. While living in Le Mans, Saint-Exupéry attended a Jesuit school called Notre Dame de Sainte Croix.

During the Summer of 1912, Saint-Exupéry experiences his first time in an airplane, with (who some researchers believe) Gabriel Wroblewski, a notable French aviation pioneer.

In July of 1944, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is scheduled for one of his last flight missions. This one, requiring him to fly from Borgo, Corsica to the Grenoble region in southern France in order to take some reconnaissance photos. Shortly after taking off, his plane, a Lockheed P-38 Lightening goes missing.
His squadron leaders, unable to get a hold of him, declare him officially missing the next day. As various speculations arise, some involving being shot down, and others stating suicide, Saint -
