Anna's Mother; Lyubor Feodorovna, gets married to Matvey Pavlova, who is a reserve soldier. Matvey becomes Anna's step-father. At this time in her life, Anna was 2 years old.

Anna's mother took her to see her first ballet performance of 'Sleeping Beauty', at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. Anna was 8 years old

After watching the ballet performance of 'Sleeping Beauty', Anna decided that she wanted to become a Ballet Dancer/Ballerina.

Anna was accepted into the St. Petersburg Imperial Ballet School, after passing the entry exam exceptionally well. At the time, Anna was 10 years old.

Anna graduated from the St. Petersburg Imperial Ballet School, at the age on 18.

Anna performed in a group of three ballet dancers for; 'La Fille Mal Gardee'. This was not long after she graduated from her ballet school. The performance was performed at Mariinsky Theatre, where Anna had first decided to become a ballet dancer.

Anna soon shot to fame, as she was given the lead role in Michael Fokine's 'The Dying Swan'. This became her signature role.

Anna had successfully dance the difficult role of Giselle, and just seven years into her ballet career, she was promoted to Prima Ballerina!

Anna, amongst a handful of other dacers,toured capital cities throughout Europe; Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, and many others.

Michael Fokine created the role of a short solo, the 'Swan', just for Anna.

Not long after her first debut tour ended, Anna signed up for another tour.

During her tour with 'Sergei Diaghilev’s Ballet Russe', Anna was able to visit Australia a few times, involved in the instrumental role of the Russian Ballet's influence on the future of Australian dance.

After completing her second tour, Anna was invited to join 'Sergei Diaghilev’s Ballet Russe' on its historical tour; kicking off in Paris! Some of the other dancers that Anna toured with were Laurent Novikoff, Thadee Slavinsky, Olga Spessivtzeva, Anatole Vilz and Alexander Volinine.

ADuring this year, Anna toured aound the United Kingdom and the United States. When she wasnt dancing solo, she was performing with either Laurent Novikoff or Pierre Vladimirov.

Anna had decided to create her own Ballet Company. She was then able to choreograph her own roles and had control over every performance.

Anna moved from Russia to London, England, where she settled into a house that she forever called, the 'Ivy House'. This is where all her tours were based, as she gathered her company and toured widely, presenting ballet all over the world.

A the age of 50, Anna's 30 year long dance career had physically started to wear her down. She decided to take a Christmas after finishing her tours in England.

At the end of her vacation, she boarded a train back to The Hague, where she planned to resume dancing. On its way from Cannes to Paris, the train was in an accident. Anna was not hurt, but was left waiting out a 12 hour delay on the platform. Due to it being a very cold evening on the night of the accident, once in Holland, Anna developed a serious case of Pneumonia. As her illness worsened, her last words were to see here Swan costume one last time. She passed away in the Hague, Netherlands.
