In July of 2012 Angelique made her first Wimbledon semifinal. In the third round she defeated 28 seed Christina McHale and in the fourth round she defeated former world No. 1 Kim Clijstes in 49 minutes. In the quarterfinals she defeated 15th seed Sabine Lisicki and on the semifinals lost to Agnieszka Radwanska.

Angelique Kerber won her first WTA title at the 2012 Open GDF Suez. She defeated top seed Maria Sharapova in the quarterfinals and the 2nd seed Marion Bartoli in three sets in the final.

Angelique Kerber won her fourth WTA title in 2015 Family Circle Cup. This was her first title on clay. She won her fifth WTA title in the 2015 Porsche Grand Prix where she beat Caroline Wozniacki in the final. Angelique won her sixth title in the Aegon Classic and this was her first title on grass. She won her seventh title in the Bank of the West Classic.
