Since she was little she knew that acting was what she wanted to do, he mom drove her to auditions and was very supportive of her. Angelina Adopts First Child Maddox
Angelina always wanted to adopt, when she did trips for the UNHCR she visited orphanage home and she knew that she wanted to give those kids a home, and she wanted to build her family. Angelina broke up with her boyfriend back in 2002 when she adopted maddox and it wasn't until 2006 that Brad gave Maddox his name as well (Davidson, Sara). UNHCR as a Goodwill Ambassador
Angelina’s interest in humanitarian work began when she first traveled to Cambodia, the location of a film she was working on. Ever since, Angelina has been working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and in 2001 she was named UNHCR’s Ambassador (Angelina Jolie Fact Sheet). Angelina has a kind heart and I believe that she will keep working with the UNHCR for as long as she can, devoting her time to help others. -
Angelina's Medical Choice
After her mother's long and terminal fight with cancer Angelina knew she was at risk. When Angelina found out that she had 87% risk of breast cancer and 50% of ovarian cancer, she knew she had to do something to prevent it (Jolie, Angelina). Angie worried about losing her family and therefore she followed up with a prevention procedure that went on for months and shared her story with millions of women, facing the same things, through The New York Times. -
Angelina Jolie Receives the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award
Angelina received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian award in 2013 for all the work she has done through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Angelina shared the story about, how when she began to travel she also began to understand the responsibility she had to others after understanding how sheltered she was from the rest of the world (Oscars). Angelina Jolie is very understanding of what she has and having the life she has, she sees it as her responsibility to help others. -
Brangelina's Wedding
Angelina and Brad’s wedding finally came to be after all the years filled with rumors. Their small ceremony of 20 in the chapel of Chateau Miraval, part of the family’s estate in Correns, France. From tossing petals, walking Angie down the isle, baking the wedding cake each Jolie-Pitt kid had a main role in their parents special day (Green and Tauber). Angelina never seemed to worry about this day, she knew that her kids had to play a major role in this day like they already do in her life.
