    The Mayflower Compact was the first governing document of Plymouth Colony. The Mayflower Compact was the frist kind of self- governmet in Amerca. It was drafted by the pilgrims who crossed the Atlantic aboard the Mayflower. Only 41 passengers signed the Mayflower Compact.

    The French and Indian war ended up costing England a lot of money, and they turned to America to help pay for most of it. They enduced taxes where before there had not been any which angered the colonists.

    Indian Removal Act
    Indian Removal Act was signed into law by Andrew Jackson on May 28, 1830, authorizing the president to grant unsettled lands west of the Mississippi in exchange for Indian lands within existing state borders. A few tribes went easily but, most did not want to leave there home land; therefore, they put up a fight. Approximately 4,000 Cherokees died on this forced march, known as the "Trail of Tears." Many were worried that the government would not hold up there end of the bargain.

    The gold rush started a mass migration to the west. Which made it harder to live there because, there was so many people it was hard to find land to biuld on.

  • Assassination of Lincoln

    Assassination of Lincoln
    President Lincoln was assassinated on April 15, 1865. Lincoln was killed at Ford's Theatre, in Washington D.C.. John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln in the back of the head while he was watching a play. Lincoln was killed 5 days after the Civil War ending. John Wilkes Booth was found in a barn, from there he was took to jail.

    The Great Depression started when the Stock Market Crashed. Millions of people became unemployed, and had no way of getting another job.

    The Korean War started on June 25, 1950. It started when North Korean invated South Korean. The U.S. did not expect that this violent conflict would continue for more than three years. North Korean wanted the South to be Communist as well. With the help of the U.S. South Korean won the war an did not become communist.

  • Fall of Berlin Wall

    Fall of Berlin Wall
    The Berlin Wall was put up to seprate Western Gremany from Eastern Gremany. The West Side was the best side to be on but, only able 5,000 Gremanys escaped from the East Side. The Berlin Wall was taken down 28 years after it was put up. The fall of the Berlin Wall is also a symbol of the end of the Cold War. Gremany became one again on November 9, !989.
