The colonist had spies to so when the Brithish were coming it was not a suprise. The Americans has proved that theyare willing to die forthere rights.

    Israel Putnam led a couple hundred men up Breed’s Hill. The battle was short but very bloody. The British troops stopped and regrouped and attacked again, the Americans stopped them again and the British flew. Half of the American troops and 1000 British troops were killed and wounded.

    In This battle Washington took 868 prisoners without losing a single man. A week Later in Princeton he captured 300 British troops. Then they reliezed it would take more than captureing troops to get back New York City.

    The United States and Britain signed a peace treaty in Paris. Britain agreed to recognize the US as a independent nation. They also gave up the claims from Canada to Florida. The US agreed to give them back all the stolen things that were taken from the Lolaylist.
