A protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts which consisted of throwing pounds of tea into the Boston Harbor. -
Intolerable Acts
Punitive laws passed by the British Parliament after the Boston Tea Party meant to punish the colonist for their protest. -
Battles of Lexington and Concord
The first military engagement of the American Revolutionary War. -
Second Continental Congress
A meeting of delegates from the Thirteen Colonies in America which united in the American Revolutionary War. -
Olive Branch Petition
A final attempt by the colonist to avoid going to war with Britain during the American Revolution.
