    The first offensive victory for the American Forces. Ethan Allen was the leader of the Green Mountain Boys. The Green Mountain boys were recruited men to attack Ticonderoga. Benedict Arnold was a militia captain who founded the new American Army.

    The British had decided the colonists would not be allowed to cross the Appalachian Mountains so the British could stop the trading.
  • The Stamp Act

    The colonists were forced to pay the British taxes, represented by a stamp, on various forms of paper, documents and even playing cards.

    The British shot a whole bunch of people because the Colonists were at war with the British and someone yelled "There is fire!" and it was the first death of the revolution.

    The British defeated the American Patriots at the Battle of Bunker Hill. The British sustained twice as many casualties as the Americans. The British lost many soldiers in the fight. The British secured gunpowder and canons of an uprising.

    The Boston Tea Party was a protest because the colonists were frustrated about the "taxation without representation."
  • The Intolerable Act

    A major division in the colonies. The British made 4 laws, The Boston Tea Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, The Act of Impartial Administrations, and The Quartering Act.
  • Lexington and concord

    This was seen as the first battle of the war. Someone yelled "fire". The colonists had ambushed the British Soldiers.
  • Bunker (Breed's Hill)

    The Battle of Yorktown is George Washington's victory over General Cornwallis. York town was an engagement of the American revolution. The British surrendered to the Continental Army and the allied French.
  • Common sense

    Thomas Paine made a pamphlet called Common Sense. Paine's main point in the pamphlet was it is just common sense to separate from England.
  • The Declaration of Independence

    The American Colonies were seeking for independence. Their goals were to rally troops, win foreign allies, and announce a new creation of a new country.
  • Princeton_Trenton

    Washington ambushed/sneak attack on Christmas to win in Trenton. Washington was retreating so they could make the British weak.
  • Continental Army Wintering Valley Forge

    The British captured Philadelphia and winter was coming. The Continental Army was at Valley Forge for 6 months. Valley Forge was a defensible plateau where they could train. The colonists made a treaty alliance with the French.
  • War in the South/Charlestown

    The British captured the coastal cities of Savannah, Charlestown, and Wilmington. Cornwallis retreated to the coast. Admiral de Grasse prevented Cornwallis from being saved by surrounding all the sides under a bombardment.
  • YorkTown

    The African Americans helped the British fight against the Americans because the British told them that if they helped them then they would give them freedom.
