    What and What happen: After gaining land from France the colonist wanted to expand and move out. The king did not want to this and came up with the Proclamation line
  • Stamp Act

    What and what happen: After the war Britain needed money and decieded to pass the stamp act on all printed paper. The Stamp Act caused a problem with the colonist who refused it

    What and what happen: In order to protect the colonist the king passed the Quartering Act causing the colonist have to take care of the soldierts

    What andwhat happen: Known mainly for their vilonce in the boycotting of British and British goods. The Daughter of Liberty came together to spin and make clothes while boycotting the British. The Sons and Daughter's of Liberty where the brave ones during the time.

    What and what happen: The Townshend act was a tax on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea. Since the colonist did not react while to the other tax the King passed the townshend act.
  • Boston Massacre

    What and what happen: A riot broke out in the city of Boston because of the unwelcome of the British troops. The British open fire on the crowd killing and wounding colonist. The Boston Massacre was one of the events leading to the Revolutary War
  • Boston Tea Party

    What and what happen: The Tea Act was passed by the king. The Tea Act was a tax on all tea that was sent to the U.S. The colonist didn't like it and boycotted the tea. The colonist all so dressed as Indian's and threw tea off the shipping boat into the sea thus the name Boston Tea Party

    What and what happen: The colonies each formed a committee of correspondece as a way to contact each other without the British knowning. In 1764 Boston formed the early Comittee of Correspondence. Some ways for the Committees to contact each other was invisable ink and secret symbols.

    What and what happen: On Christmas day Washington and his troops sailed across the frozen river of Delaware. Washington and his troops planned to doa surprise attack on the British army. Washington and the French later had the British surrounded forcing them to surrender.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    What and what happen: The Battle of Saratoga is the turning point in the Revolutary War. The surrendering of British general John Burgoyne showed that the colonist had a chance in winning the war. Because of this battle the French made a deal to help the colonist in the war.
  • Battle of Yorktown (Siege)

    When:September 28 to October 19 1781
    Who: French, colonist, and British
    Where: America
    What and what happen: The French and Americans fought against the British side by side. The Americans tricked the British while the French came in. The French and Colonist marched all the way to Yorktown dug trenches and fought the British.
