    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    On April 18, 1775, British forces left Boston to destroy weapons in Concord. The next day, militia at Lexington tried to stop the British army unsucessfully. Militia at Concord defeated British forces who also suffered great losses on the way back to Boston.
  • Battle of Fort Ticonderoga

    Battle of Fort Ticonderoga
    Benadict Arnold and Ethan Allan's Green Mountain Boy's joined forces and took the British own Fort. The Patiots won easily.
  • Battle of Bunker HIll

    Battle of Bunker HIll
    Patriots set up camp at Bunker Hill but meant to be Breed's Hil. British charged up the hill three times before they were able to take it and only because the Patriots had to retreat due to running out of ammunition. "Don't fire till you see the whites of their eyes."

    On Christmas Day Washington sailed across the Delaware and took Trenton on December 26. Priceton soon followed on January 3, 1777.

    The three prong battle plan to take Albany, New York failed. British forces were trapped in Fort Ticonderoga and were low on supplies. They made a feble attempt to fight Benadict Arnold and Ethan Allen's Green Mountain Boy's but failed and surrendered.

    Green Mountain Boys were being harrassed by British, so they chased them out of Cowpens and won.
  • Battle of Yorktwon

    Battle of Yorktwon
    Started Septemper 28th and went to October 19th. French and Americans surrounded and cut off the Britsih from supplies. British tried to fight off the American and French forces but failed and surrendered.
