  • Declaration of Independence

    In the opening months of 1776, independence, became part of the debate. Tell meetings throughout the colonies approve the independence. Yet, it would take another seven months before the Continental Congress finally passed the independence revolution. May 10, 1776, too much for the declaration of independence, Congress voted a resolution calling on all colonies that had not already established revolutionary governments to do so and to wrest control from royal officials
  • Alliances

    By 1781, the British were also fighting France, Spain, and Holland. The British public’s support for the cost of the war in north America waned. The Americans took advantage of the British Southern strategy with significant aid from the French army and navy. March 1, 1781 following American victories at Yorktown that resulted in British willingness to end the war.
  • Negotiations

    Peace negotiations took place in France in the war came to an official end on September 3, 1783. Ironically, while the piece in 1783 left France on the verge of an economic crisis, the British economy boomed thanks to the return of American businesses
