    Concord
    April 19 1775 while the fight was going on in Lexington, there were British “redcoats” sent to concord to collect( or seize) the arms and ammunition of the colonist. The colonist were warned of the British coming to concord by a doctor named Dr.Samuel Prescott. The colonist had hidden from the redcoats and made a bit of a “surprise” assassination which made the British retreat in defeat.

    April 19 1775, this battle ( as well as the battle of concord) started the American revolutionary war.The military governor of Massachusetts sent the (hated) redcoats to capture the leaders of the rebellion ( John Hancock, and Samuel Adams) and imprison them ( as well as the regular rebels). John Hancock and Samuel Adams were able to escape thanks to the warning that Paul Revere gave.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    June 17 1775 was the date of the battle of Bunker Hill, the battle in which the British finally viewed the colonist as a serious enemy. Americans heard that the British were going to Bunker Hill, so they boarded it up six feet high. After two failed attacks that the british led, they won the third, though the colonist did receive a lost, the British had a higher death count.

    August 27 1776 this was the first major battle after the colonist/Americans declared independence on July 4th of 1776. This was a successful battle for the British so far, so they left the rest of it for the next day figuring that the Americans wouldn’t go anywhere, but they were wrong and the next morning the colonists were gone.

    December 25 1776, this battle was won by the colonist/America. Before this battle the war wasn’t looking so good for the americans, they lost plenty of battles. The colonist did so well on this battle that the death count was only 2, and 5 wounded.
  • Philadelphia

    September 26 1777, Philadelphia was the capital/headquarters of America during this time. A general of the redcoats (William Howe) somehow managed to get over George Washington and march into Philadelphia without anyone to stop.
  • Saratoga

    October 17 1777, this battle was also won by Americans. The general for the redcoats, John Burgoyne gave away the win to the colonists, this battle was a turning point for the colonists.

    Marquis was a french general who fully supported the american revolution. He led French reinforces into battle, alongside the American soldiers fighting for their independance.
  • Valley Forge

    Valley Forge
    December 19 1777, though no battles were fought in Valley Forge, many people died. The weather was horrible ( it was winter) which made everyone sick and they were hungry too due to shortage of supplies.
  • Yorktown

    September 28 1781, The American along with the help of the French received victory in this battle. The French and the Americans out-numbered the British by 10,600 men.
  • Treaty of Paris

    September 3 1783, this treaty ended the revolutionary war in Paris, Benjamin Franklin,John Adams, and John Jay all signed the treaty.
